Le Video Game Awards est un événement ayant lieu chaque année et retransmis sur la chaîne américaine Spike TV, récompensant les meilleurs jeux dans différents domaines.

Créé en 2003, les récompenses ont été souvent critiquées par le fait qu'elles sont décernées en fonction du vote du public, plutôt que par un jury. Les jeux sont donc récompensés par leur popularité plutôt que par leur qualité. Renommé en 2013 pour devenir les VGX, la cérémonie a totalement changé de formule pour proposer un événement filmé sur une sorte de plateau de télévision. Cette nouvelle formule a reçu un accueil catastrophique auprès des spectateurs.
